  • UNESCO Chair in Sustainable Groundwater Management, established in 2007 at the University of Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan and the Institute of Geo-ecology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

  • UNESCO Chair in Sustainable Rivers, established in 2008 at the University of Washington, United States of America

  • UNESCO Chair in Water in the Knowledge Society, established in 2008 at the Instituto Mexicano de Technología del Agua, Mexico
